Aircraft Elt - Fly safely through the skies with the ME406 Single Exit Portable ELT by your side. If you ever need to activate this ELT, the 406 MHz transmitter will send a coded signal every 50 seconds to alert search and rescue teams of your situation. Also, if the situation requires you to leave the aircraft and move to a more protected or accessible area, the surround auxiliary antenna will continue to transmit its distress signal even after the ELT is removed from the aircraft.
If the situation requires moving to a more protected or accessible area, folding the auxiliary antenna allows continuous transmission of the emergency signal after the ELT is removed from the downed aircraft.

A lanyard attached to the ME406P allows the user to secure the ELT to a person or object to prevent possible loss or damage to the device.

The ME406P series mounting plate is compatible with all previous Artex 406 MHz ELTs, as well as the ELT-200 series, Pointer Model 3000, Narco and ACK E-01 ELTs.

Warranty coverage effectively expands on previous Artex product warranties offered. To qualify for warranty coverage, the customer must do one of two things.

1) Provide original Artex packing list with date of shipment. The warranty period expires 24 months from the date of shipment on the packing list.
2) Provide proof of date of installation (logbook entry, signed copy of FAA Form 337 where the ELT was installed, or other documentation showing this).
If the customer cannot provide any documented methods, the warranty applies for 24 months from the date of manufacture listed on the ELT product label, with an installation grace period of 6 months, actually 30 months.
